I stayed at Golden Tulip Grand View for 4 days to celebrate our anniversary, and unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. My sincere request to everyone — please think twice before booking this hotel.The staff is very careless and unhelpful. The official check-in time was 3 PM, but we reached the hotel around 10 AM after a long journey. I politely requested a temporary room just to freshen up and change clothes, which many hotels usually accommodate depending on availability. However, the staff completely denied the request and asked us to use the common bathroom and pool changing area, which was honestly shocking for a hotel claiming to provide good hospitality.After finally getting the room, I requested a room upgrade. The staff refused, saying the hotel was sold out and no rooms were available, while visibly many rooms appeared vacant.Another disappointing issue was regarding the sofa-cum-bed provided in the room. When I called room service requesting bedsheets and linen for it, I was informed that it would cost an additional 1500 per night. This is absolutely unreasonable. If the hotel provides a sofa-cum-bed in the room, basic linen should be included as part of the stay.The checkout experience was equally frustrating. Standard checkout time was 12 noon, and since our flight was later in the evening, I requested an extension till 3 PM. For just 3 extra hours, they charged 2000 and shifted us to another room. Initially, they promised the alternate room would be available by 9:30 AM, but they only provided it at 12 noon.Overall, the staff showed zero willingness to help guests. The only positive part of the stay was the housekeeping staff and security personnel, who were genuinely polite and supportive.Please do not blindly trust online reviews or even recommendations regarding this hotel. Our anniversary trip was supposed to be memorable for the right reasons, but sadly, the hotel experience left us very disappointed.
The property offers spacious rooms and well-maintained gardens that make for a pleasant environment. Facilities are excellent, complemented by attentive and friendly staff. Parking is convenient, and the overall cleanliness is impressive. The location is good, though not perfect for walkability, but the value for money is definitely worth it.
