Goldfield Club & Lake Resort

I stayed at the suite room of the resort along with my family.. I had gone through the reviews(mostly negative) on the resort, but was hoping that it would atleast be moderate one... I was damn wrong...Check in time was 1 PM... We reached the property late at 3 PM... And had to wait one hour at the reception area for check in with my kids.. Seemed like they started cleaning the rooms once we reached there... There were few staff available there who were running around getting things sorted... There was no value for guest satisfaction..The property was not at all maintained, they charge a hefty price for the suite rooms we stayed. Room was spacious.. But thats it... Furniture was old, ill maintained, lights are rusty, no wifi, no telephone... Pool is moderate, but not cleaned and ill maintained.The only positive experience of the resort is the view that it offers on the mighty vembenad lake... Sunset... That was the only memorable experience...Breakfast was average but decent. Didnt try any other food from the restaurant as we had little confidence judging from their staff responses...This is a must NOT TRY facility at Kumarakom... Only if you are expecting below average moderate budget stay and travelling with out kids, think about it... Otherwise, there are plenty of other properties at Kumarakom to explore...

Very Disappointing ExperienceWe recently booked this property and had a very disappointing experience. The property was not well maintained at all and was extremely dirty. Even the swimming pool was unhygienic and unusable. The rooms were also not properly cleaned and did not look anything like the photos shown online.Communication was very difficult as there was no Malayali staff available. We were a group of 5 girls, and having only Hindi-speaking male staff made us feel uncomfortable.Despite already paying a high rent, we were asked to pay extra charges at the end without any valid reason, which felt very unprofessional.Overall, the experience was far belowexpectations. The property is misleading, poorly maintained, and unprofessional. We would not recommend this place.

We had booked the rooms in advance, and they were good and comfortable. The breakfast included in our booking was okay, nothing special but decent. Hot water was not available during our stay, and the swimming pool was not well maintained-it didn't look like it had been cleaned recently. However, the room itself was clean and nice.The backside lake view was beautiful, and watching the boats passing by was very peaceful and calming. Parking space for both cars and bikes is available, which is convenient. Overall, it was a good and relaxing experience, though maintenance could be improved.

Property is leased by some pune based company. They're not maintaining the property well. Rooms are bad, housekeeping is okayish. The cook is north Indian so expect the taste and quality that way only. Only plus point is the location which is adjacent to the backwaters.

We were a group booked 7 rooms very bad experience what you see in photos and real experience of property is entirely different chrck in time was 1 o clock we arrived at property 3 o clock and we well informed them we will arrive only by 3 and still waited 1 and half hours to get the key when we ask the reception they we repeteadly say that a guy with black uniform went to the rolm with keys we the. We keep on waiting and asking but we are only geting same response they dodnt even mentioned the room numbers after a long wait we managed to check in balcony was full off spider web bird poos not even cleaned ac is making noise like generator bathroom door didnt even shut and we booked the property only because of the pool and we saw the over flow tank near the back water of the pool was filled with dirt and debries and discouloured we have taken photos and videos to show the health department already one incident happened in kerala not long ago. Even though they didnt care about it and when i checked in they told pool time is only till 7 oclock after that thry said they will treat the water as the state of thr pool we knoe its not being cleaned for long so we put a time lapse camera to check un flrtunatedly nothing happend tilll ne day 11 clock while we checked out the guy feom the reception was very rude to the custome threatining customer both were exchanging words but tge guy from tge gotel was very un ehical . I dont recomed this hotel at all
