I stayed at Castelo Inn for a night in August 2026. The hotel is new, has a great vibe, and the restaurant staff—especially the two Assamese ladies—were warm and welcoming. At ****single / ****double occupancy, including taxes, it is also excellent value.Unfortunately, the front-office experience was quite the opposite. Hospitality needs empathy and flexibility; here, the approach felt more focused on maximising revenue, which is what typically happens when you place Sales people at the front desk of a hotel.1. Late checkout: I checked in at 7 PM and requested checkout at 4 PM the next day. I was told complimentary checkout was only until 1 PM, with 1,000 charged for the additional three hours—over 50% of my room tariff. Usually hotels charge prorata or if the checkin was later than the standard checkin time, then offer flexible checkout time as well. However, that wasn't the case here.2. Parents visiting: My parents arrived around 8:30 AM, a little too early for their late afternoon flight, and I asked if they could rest in my room. The front desk initially confirmed there was no issue and that only late-checkout charges would apply. Later, the manager informed me that an additional 900 per person would be charged—effectively going back on what I had been told earlier. This was despite them not staying overnight and being in the room for only a fraction of the booked period.3. Room pricing: When my sister's flight too got cancelled, I booked two additional rooms. The hotel quoted ****+ taxes, while the same rooms were available online for **** including taxes. The hotel manager did not believe the rate I quoted. He asked me to show him the rate in the travel portal app, and when I showed it to him, he then insisted I send him a copy of my booking because he was "curious" to find how the travel portal was undercutting the hotel — an unnecessary and unprofessional request.A nice new hotel let down by an overly transactional front office. I might stay again, but preferably without having to deal with the front desk or management.

Totally value for money. Dinner was a bit of hitch in the restaurant service was so slow that we lost appetite and food was spicy than expected. Other than that Hospitality in the property from beginning till we checked out was wondering... Naina was the person in reception who received us and sent us off. She was extra ordinarily good in her Hospitality and service. Don't let her go. She will ve pride of your hotel if she is treated well.
