Disappointing Booking Issue

Terrible experience. Before booking through MakeMyTrip, I called the hotel to confirm early check-in and agreed to pay extra. The receptionist assured me it was possible, so I booked the hotel. I even called after booking to inform them about my early arrival. On the check-in day, the staff had no idea about my booking and said they hadn't received it. MakeMyTrip showed my booking as confirmed. When I showed the booking ID, the staff checked and said okay. Check-in time is 12PM, but I reminded them of the previous day's conversation about early check-in for a fee. The staff refused to contact the people who confirmed it, saying "They won't answer their calls." I arrived at 5:30, and they said the earliest clean room would be ready by 10. The hotel's internal communication is awful for a place claiming 4-star status. I had booked their most expensive room. I won't bother sharing room pictures.
