HOTEL HIMGIRI

I stayed at Hotel Himgiri for 4 nights and found it comfortable. The rooms were decent with enough space, and the washroom was clean with hot water available 24 hours. The food quality was good; since there were few guests during my stay, food was made to order. I enjoyed the taste about 8 out of 10 times. However, the main problem was the presence of 3 dogs on the property. At night, these dogs became very aggressive, barking at everyone because the hotel is located on a narrow road at a corner. I wanted to walk around Mall Road after dinner, but when I returned, the dogs barked aggressively and ran toward me, which was very uncomfortable and scary. If you plan to explore Mall Road after dark, I recommend staying at hotels on the main road instead.

The rooms were cozy, though the cleanliness left something to be desired. The bedsheets showed noticeable stains, which was quite disappointing. Additionally, the room lacked any view. On the bright side, the breakfast was enjoyable and provided a pleasant way to begin the day.

Most affordable stay close to Manali Mall Road. The breakfast was nice as well. The staff was welcoming and the place was well kept.

I stayed at Hotel Himgiri in Manali for four nights, and the overall experience was very disappointing. Besides the location, there was hardly anything positive to mention. The hotel management really needs to improve its service standards and train the staff properly because the hospitality was far below what guests expect. Room service was a total disaster. One night, I ordered dinner and it took nearly an hour to arrive, and when it did, the food was cold. The staff showed no urgency or responsibility. Basic amenities were poorly handled. Toiletries were never adequately replenished. After every cleaning, I had to repeatedly call to get basic items. Bedsheets were not changed during my stay, which is unacceptable for multiple nights. Housekeeping standards were very poor. Power outages were a big problem. The hotel has no backup power, and we experienced several blackouts. For a hotel charging over Rs 3,500 per night, there should be at least basic backup facilities. The staff's attitude was very casual and unprofessional. They acted as if guests were friends dropping by, not paying customers expecting proper service. There was no professionalism or accountability. When issues were raised, they acted like it was no big deal instead of resolving them. The room lacked basic facilities: no dental kit, no kettle, and very slow WiFi that was almost unusable. Additionally, the hotel did not honor the 10% discount on food and beverages promised in my MakeMyTrip booking, showing poor transparency and guest management. Breakfast was another disaster. There was never enough food for all guests. One person was carrying paranthas and bhatures by hand, serving tables one by one at his own pace. The setup felt more like a communal feast than a hotel breakfast service. Guests had to wait and beg for basic food items. The only positive is the hotel's location near Mall Road. If your priority is just being close to Mall Road and you can overlook poor service, bad management, lack of amenities, and an unpleasant stay, this place might work. Otherwise, I strongly advise avoiding Hotel Himgiri. Based on my experience, a 1-star rating is deserved.
