Had a great stay at hotel mahadev in rishikesh. Good and clean rooms with having all basic facilities. We were late for breakfast a bit but they arranged a basic breakfast post timing also which was included in room rent. Staff is very polite
My stay at Hotel Mahadev Rishikesh, listed as a 4-star property on Agoda, fell well short of expectations and felt closer to a basic 2-star experience. The hotel provides a place to sleep, but several aspects of the stay did not match what was advertised.The room was noticeably small, and the property appeared to be a residential apartment building converted into a hotel. The photos on Agoda made the room look considerably more spacious than it was, so the listing did not give an accurate impression of what to expect.Facilities were limited. There was no elevator, which made carrying luggage up the stairs inconvenient, especially for guests with heavy bags or limited mobility.Location was another concern. The listing put the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat about 1.6 km away, but the actual distance was closer to 7 km. The area is not especially convenient for exploring Rishikesh's main attractions.Customer service also needs improvement. The staff were difficult to reach and seemed inexperienced, and I had to ask several times for basic items such as towels.I would recommend that future guests consider staying near Tapovan, which offers easier access to the town's popular spots. I would also suggest checking ratings, photos, and distances on Google Maps before booking, since the listed star rating may not reflect the actual standard. With more accurate listings and more attentive service, the hotel could better meet its guests' expectations.
Rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff is very welcoming, and Sunil bhaiya serves outstanding food. 😊
