First of all the room is very uncomfortable and the walls are falling , windows are broken room is not cleaned at all. The facilities provided in the room is either broken or not working. And if you need any help in night regarding AC or any stuff the staff is not cooperative. The only good thing about the hostel was the view we get from the window and the food they offer , the staff responsible for fooding was polite and helpful. I stayed there for 3 days with my mother in a deluxe room and I will not at all recommend anyone .

My experience at Shalom Backpackers Hotel in Rishikesh was extremely disappointing, right from the time of check-in.We had already booked and checked in, but the staff later refused to provide the room to our family, stating that “we don’t give rooms to families” and that they only accommodate people up to the age of 35. This was shocking and completely unacceptable. If there are such age or guest restrictions, they should be clearly mentioned at the time of booking, not communicated after the guest has arrived and completed check-in.Because of this, we had no option but to check out on the same day.The room itself was also in a very poor condition. We visited the room and found it to be a complete mess, with extremely poor hygiene and basic facilities missing. There were multiple insects and spiders inside the room, making it extremely uncomfortable and unhygienic to stay there.What made the experience even worse was the refund issue. Since we had to leave because the hotel refused to accommodate us, I requested a refund from the hotel. However, the staff refused to provide the refund and simply told me to contact Agoda, as that was the platform through which I had booked.This is extremely frustrating. The hotel refused to accommodate us, we checked out on the same day, and yet I have still not received my refund.I strongly feel that guests should be informed about all age/family restrictions and accommodation. Refusing accommodation after check-in and then refusing to take responsibility for the refund is simply not acceptable. I would not recommend this property based on my experience with the staff, cleanliness, accommodation policy and refund handling.

I was in 4 bed dorm . I had booked 3 nights left after 1 night. Pathetic. Toilets never been cleaned broken knobs. The pillow and bedsheets are mouldy. Perfect place to get sick
