Stunning scenery and lovely property

The resort rooms, especially in the new wing where we stayed, are nice, and the Indian food is quite good, though the continental options are just average. The location is by the Ganga, with Laxman Jhula about 500 meters away. However, the facilities are poorly maintained and the staff seems indifferent. The pool is particularly disappointing—it's the worst I've seen at this price, with murky water and the jets that circulate water usually turned off. There's rarely anyone around to assist with towels or setting up sunbeds. The recreation area is also subpar, with extra beds stored in the same room. Complaints at reception are met with a dismissive attitude, as if it's not a big issue. The hotel is mostly vertical, and access relies on small, poorly maintained lifts. For example, I had to take three different lifts to reach the pool, which is eight levels down from my room, and they often overload beyond the four-person limit. Navigating the hotel would be tough for large groups. This place is suitable if you just want a place to sleep and spend your days outside, but if you're hoping for a relaxing stay using the hotel's amenities, I would avoid it. Since I wanted the latter, I gave it a low rating.

Service is lacking, but the food is better than average. The rooms are excellent and the location is beautiful. It's a comfortable place to stay, though the service and food quality aren't outstanding. They also keep calling you multiple times about checkout.

I stayed here alone for two days. Here's my feedback. Firstly, I rated 5 stars only because of two individuals; otherwise, it would have been 4. Ms. Anjali from the Travel Desk was very helpful. She responded quickly and assisted with my cab booking even while on leave. I asked many questions, and she patiently answered all and remained calm until I finalized my booking. Truly impressive. Secondly, Mr. Ashish, whom I later learned is the general manager, always greeted me with a smile, even after meeting multiple times in a day. NOT SO GOOD: 1. The check-in was the most uncomfortable experience I've had. When I arrived, about 5-6 people were at the reception. I told one person I was checking in, and she immediately called a colleague, saying, “THAT-GUY-NAME, do this.” It felt more like a police station than a resort. Another person gave me a spiritual mala and a welcome drink, but none of them smiled—not even a fake one. I instantly regretted booking here. 2. Everything was well-maintained and clean except the swimming pool, which looked dirty. I usually enjoy pools, but this one was below the standard expected of a 4-star hotel. GOOD POINTS: 1. The view from my room was stunning. Make sure to book the right room, as not all have a full view of the Ganga. 2. The resort overall was well-kept except for the pool. 3. The breakfast restaurant staff and the pool security guard were friendly. 4. The private river access was the highlight. Sitting on the steps by the Ganga, listening to the water and feeling the cool breeze, I felt transported to another world. I spent 15-30 minutes there both days. It was the best part of my stay. 5. The views from all restaurants and rooftops are perfect. You can see Ram Jhula from the restaurant, which feels surreal. 6. They respond quickly to queries on Instagram and WhatsApp, which is great.
