Hotel Maheshwari Avenue

The rooms looked clean at first but we found cockroaches there and the bedsheets and quilts were filled with dust. Also we were 5 members and all 5 got sick because of the dust and unsanitary environment in the rooms, like literal skin blisters and fevers because of that. Also the service in the restaurant is super slow. They take forever to serve the food.

Hotel Maheshwari Avenue is one of the most disappointing hotel experiences i had in Ujjain, The only positive is that the temple is nearby, but even this advantage does not make up for the many issues faced during the stay.Room booking and Hotel management:A 4’bed room and a 3’bed room were booked through Goibibo, but at check’in only two 3’bed rooms were allotted.When questioned, the manager rudely replied that ’you ordered 2 rooms online, we are giving you 2 rooms, why argue about what kind of room it is,’ and even suggested sleeping on the sofa in a three’bed room despite payment for a four’bed room.Hidden commissions and cab booking:An Innova was arranged through the hotel for a 150 km trip to Omkareshwar for ’5,200. Later when we enquired other travels they quoted 700 rupees less. so booking cabs through them is strongly not recommended.Access, cleanliness and basic facilities:Though close to the temple, cars and e’autos cannot reach the hotel entrance, so all heavy luggage must be carried by guests themselves or a person will be arranged to heavy lift luggages.Rooms were untidy, with visible dust under the cot and cockroaches; even after requesting anti’cockroach spray, there was no proper response from the hotel.Bathroom amenities were minimal, with only a towel and soap provided; basic items like toothbrush and toothpaste were not given.Hotel at Ground Floor:Taste of food in the ground’floor hotel was good but they charge us separately for hot water, which is unreasonable for the tariff.Overall verdict:The ratings seen on Google, MakeMyTrip and Goibibo for this hotel feel misleading and do not reflect the actual experience.Anyone willing to pay for a comfortable, clean and hassle’free stay should avoid this property; apart from being near the temple, there is nothing recommendable about it.It is better not to book cabs through the hotel or rely on third’party apps to resolve room’type issues here, because in practice guests are forced to accept whatever the hotel decides at check’in.Cost worthiness : 1 out of 5Hotel location: 4 out of 5Hotel management : 0.5 out of 5Will I go again : Never

The hotel is very near to temple but situated inside narrow lane. We have to take our luggage by walk to the hotel.Rooms are neat and cleanRestaurant Foods is very tasty.

The staff is quite rude. The basics of the room were also not in place. The checkout time is quite weird 9am , and they enforce it strictly. Not value for money at all. Very pricey compared to the facilities

Amazing place to stay , 24 hours hot water , even if rooms were messy on informing they cleaned it asap ,refillable water & very close to mandir highly recommended
