The rooms were spotless, cozy, and of high quality. Definitely worth a stay.

My experience at Hotel Maheshwari Inn, Ujjain, was very disappointing. We booked the room about 20 days ahead and paid a ₹1,000 advance. We specifically asked for early check-in since our train from Kalyan arrived at 7:00 AM, explaining that two girls arriving early in an unfamiliar city needed this. The owner said if a room was free, he would provide it. The confirmation message stated the usual 11:00 AM check-in, so we asked again for early check-in and got the same reply: "If a room is available, we'll give it." On our travel day, after boarding the train, we called the owner to confirm. He said a room was available but suddenly demanded an extra ₹1,000 for early check-in, which was never mentioned before. We were shocked since he had assured us a vacant room would be given. When we arrived at 7:00 AM, hardly any staff were present. We waited in the lobby for nearly three hours. Each time we asked, they said, "We'll give you the room soon." Around 10:00 AM, they told us to wait until 11:00 AM. The management was very unprofessional and kept ignoring us instead of giving clear answers. The main problem was not just the room but the false promises and poor communication. If early check-in was not possible, they should have been honest from the start. Instead, they kept changing their story and left us waiting for hours in an unknown city with our luggage. I do not recommend this hotel. The management is unreliable, the owner unprofessional, and customer service very poor. Please reconsider before booking here.

Terrible experience. They charge the full amount if you check out even slightly late. The check-out time is 9 AM, which is unusual. The staff enters the room without knocking and rudely demands that you leave immediately.

The rooms were tidy and the service was excellent. I recommend staying here.

The trip and overall experience were wonderful. All the places they recommended are definitely worth visiting. If you want to have a memorable Ujjain trip, just ask here for suggestions.
