Hotel Shoolin Grand

I recently stayed at this hotel in Mangalore. I addition to it being in a very convenient location, I comend the hotel and the stay itself. The rooms are clean and very well maintained. I also appreciate the staff, they are extremely professional, helpful and very quick in sorting any issues. They are kind and very well trained as well. All in all a very good experience.

Located in the heart of the city and close to all important places in town.Clean and well equipped rooms with an option of late check out as per availibilityLastly and most important, the well behaved and well mannered staff of the hotel, all of them make sure that all the guests are more than comfortable every single time. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. The place was filthy and clearly neglected. There were cockroaches in the room, the walls were damp and wet, and the paint was peeling off due to moisture. To make it worse, the pillows had visible saliva stains, absolutely disgusting and unacceptable for any paying guest. It makes you question whether anything in the room is properly cleaned at all.This hotel does not meet even basic cleanliness or maintenance standards. I would strongly warn others to avoid this place. Staying here felt unhygienic and uncomfortable from start to finish.

As a solo woman traveller, especially being a Mangalorean living in another city, travelling alone still comes with its own fears and honestly, staying at a hotel can sometimes add to that. But this stay was such a pleasant surprise. From check-in to check-out, room service to the smallest details, everything just felt easy and taken care of.I booked through Prakyat, who is always on top of things and genuinely shows up for every guest, whether he knows you or not. A big thank you to the front desk team Krithi, Terence, and everyone else who made the entire experience feel safe, warm, and comfortable.Truly grateful for this peaceful and beautiful stay. I am writing this review after staying at this hotel for more than 15 days. The rooms are decent and comfortable for a longer stay. The location is central with easy access to beaches and temples. The staff are very kind and helpful and they guided me well about tourist places and good food options. I truly appreciated their hospitality. I would definitely recommend this hotel to friends who plan to visit this city.
