Hotel Silver Oak 7 Minutes Walk to Mahalaxmi Temple

I booked an AC Deluxe Room from 27/05/2026 to 28/05/2026. Unfortunately, my experience was unsatisfactory.The room linens were not clean, and the room service was poor, requiring repeated reminders for basic requests.I also found that the food prices charged at the restaurant were higher than those listed on the menu card in the room.Although I paid all charges, including the food bill, before checkout, I received a call the next day asking me to pay again, indicating poor coordination among the staff.Overall, the cleanliness issues, poor service, billing discrepancy, and record-keeping problems made my stay unpleasant. I hope the management addresses these concerns and improves its service.

I chose this hotel primarily due to its proximity to my workplace and the 3-star tag it claimed on Google search.I reached the hotel at around 1:15 PM and was asked to wait for check-in. Upon enquiring, I was informed that the standard check-out time was 12 noon, but the previous guests had checked out late. I agreed and spent the time having lunch at the hotel’s restaurant.However, after lunch, when I approached the reception again, the reception area itself was being used to host a party. I had to search for the receptionist to complete the check-in formalities, and he casually indicated that the paperwork could be done later.In the evening, while I was leaving for leisure, the receptionist told me to submit my ID upon return. When I came back expecting to complete the process, I found that he had been leaving in his two-wheeler.The next morning, while I was leaving for an important meeting, the receptionist again demanded my ID. Since I was getting late, I requested to submit it upon return. To my surprise, he bluntly asked me to check out immediately and behaved quite rudely without any valid reason. Despite my repeated attempts to explain my situation, he continued misbehaving. Left with no choice, I handed over my ID and rushed for the meeting.I would also like to mention that the hotel did not provide even basic amenities such as a disposable razor or dental kit, which are commonly available nowadays even in many average hotels.On the day of checkout, while I was preparing to leave around 11:30 AM, I received a call at 11:15 AM requesting me to check out. When I reminded them that the checkout time was 12 noon, I was told that since I had checked in ’early,’ I should also leave early. I had to point out that checking in at 1:30 PM can hardly be considered an early check-in. The staff later apologised, including again at checkout.Nevertheless, the overall experience was disappointing and honestly the first such experience I have had in any hotel in India.

Very disappointing stay at Hotel Silver Oak. The room was extremely small, congested, and uncomfortable for a family stay. The air conditioning barely worked, making the room even more suffocating. Service was poor and staff were not cooperative.The most disappointing part was the false promises during booking. We were told that 2 bedsheets would be provided free of charge, but after check-in they changed their statement and gave only 1. When we asked for an extra bedsheet, they demanded ’1000 extra, which is shocking considering the room itself cost only ’3000.Overall, the hotel lacked professionalism, honesty, and basic customer care. Would not recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable and trustworthy stay.

I stayed here for 3N2D with my parents. Booked 2 standard ac deluxe rooms.Neat and clean rooms, 5-7 mins walking distance from Mahalakshmi Temple, easy connectivity to public transport as well.Mr. Kedar and Mr. Vishwas who handle the reception part, as well as the whole staff is quite courteous and very helpful.I didn't opt for breakfast as we planned to leave early every morning for sight seeing so can't comment about food.Although we ordered sandwiches, tea and coffee which was of good taste.It was genuinely a pleasant stay. No complaints. Would definitely visit again.

Had a pleasant stay at Hotel Silver Oak, Kolhapur. It is located in a prime area of the city, near the Ambabai Temple. Food was fresh & tasty. The service was good, and the rates for both stay and food were reasonable. The rooms were cozy and hygienic. They also provide four-wheeler parking.
