Hoysala Village Resort

We stayed in the Malnad Palace suites for 2 nights and it was a very nice experience. The rooms are huge, keeping old world charm and rustic elegance where the new world meets the bygone area. Lots of greenery in the resort and well maintained trees and plantations. We were welcomed with an aarti and a tikka and a welcome drink. All the staff be it at front desk, restaurant, room service, house keeping - everyone did their job very well and always with a smile and very welcoming. There is a Sai Baba Temple in the premise where morning and evening prayers happen daily, also Gau Pooja in the morning is a very beautiful experience. They have amenities like indoor games, a small library of some books, complimentary nature walk to a nearby village and also some paid services like bullock cart ride, ayurvedic massage center and so on. Coming to the food - the breakfast buffet on both days were excellent - for lunch and dinner - we tried both ala carte and buffet, while the malnad dishes were really good. Some Chinese and north Indian dishes had some overpower seasoning like more salt which was ok. Bottled water and water in a copper bowl, also a copper bath tub in the room were some of the highlights. Very aesthetic and spaciously arranged rooms and cottages, peaceful environments - birds and peacocks ensuring their presence. Really appreciate the staff members that have kept this place so lively with their work and welcoming nature - to call out a few - Manjula, Ashwini, Lithin, Tinku Das, Santhosh and Naveen - all and others did a very good job. Highly recommend to stay here and enjoy the culture and nature. It is nearby to UNESCO sites like Belur and Halebedu.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Opted for dinner and breakfast package and it was excellent value for money. Food and service were very good. Rooms and bathroom were super clean.

Beware of scammers! Have you ever seen someone charge 70rs for a 20rs water bottle? This place does that, claiming that selling a 1lt Aquafina bottle off the shelf is a luxury service at their restaurant. The food is average and not many customers come here, so they decided to cheat those who choose to eat here. There is no official rule for this at the restaurant, and when questioned, the staff shows an AI-generated Google response. This is unfair in a country like India where drinking water should not be considered a luxury.

Far from town, very relaxing, well maintained and tastefully done. Loved the traditional decor and calm ambiance. Great place to unwind with family. The food and service were good too. A hidden gem!
