LORDS ECO INN, DehradunOverall: Average experience for the price. The restaurant staff were genuinely good, but there are several areas where management needs improvement.The hotel is close to the Dehradun Express Highway, but the surrounding area outside the hotel is not very pleasant, with cleanliness and smell issues.The restaurant and dining staff were the highlight of my stay. The entire top-floor restaurant team was courteous and helpful. Special appreciation to the Chef as well. Being a budget hotel, the menu may have fewer options, but whatever we tried was well prepared and tasted good. No buffet was available at dinner, but whatever we ordered from the menu was served without any issue.The Executive room was average in size, and the sofa/furniture looked quite old. Basic toiletries were also missing from the bathroom. Management should pay attention to room furniture and basic amenities.One important concern was the mini-bar incident at checkout on 03/10/2026. I was informed that two mini-bar items had been consumed. I immediately questioned this and asked to speak to the concerned staff member. Housekeeping later acknowledged that it may have been a mistake.I had already seen a similar complaint on ***, so I feel this should be taken seriously. I am mentioning it not to blame any individual, but to bring it to management’s attention so proper verification is done before making such claims to guests.If a foreign tourist has a similar experience and leaves India with a negative impression, it can affect not only the hotel’s reputation but also their perception of Indian hospitality and our country’s hotel industry. Small things like these therefore deserve proper attention and staff training.Overall, the restaurant team deserves appreciation. My main suggestions to management are: improve the furniture, provide basic toiletries, address the surrounding cleanliness issues, and ensure proper verification of mini-bar charges before informing guests.

Had a lovely stay here! The staff were incredibly supportive, warm, and welcoming, which made the experience even more pleasant. But the real highlight was definitely the food—both dinner and breakfast were absolutely delicious and truly the cherry on top of an already wonderful stay. Would happily recommend this place and look forward to visiting again!
