Stayed at Le Roi Dehradun recently and unfortunately the experience was disappointing.Firstly, we reached around 2–3 PM while the check-in time was 1 PM, yet our room was still not ready. After a long journey, waiting further for the room was frustrating.Secondly, even basic room amenities and toiletries were missing. We had to ask multiple times (around 4–5 follow-ups) just to get basic items provided.The dining experience was even more disappointing. During dinner, we specifically requested Mango Chana Chaat without onion and garlic because my grandparents do not consume them. The staff acknowledged the request and assured us it would be taken care of, but the dish was still served with onion and garlic.We raised this concern with Mr. Pankaj Sharma, who apologised and assured us the issue would not happen again. However, the very next morning,that fatso that moron himself did same mistake was repeated when aloo paratha was again served with onion despite our dietary preference already being communicated earlier. Repeating the same error after an apology was disappointing.Room design was also inconvenient — no cupboards or shelves to properly keep belongings, and even the washroom had no hooks to hang towels or clothes.What made this more surprising was that the hotel was not crowded at all. There were only two families staying during that time, yet the service remained extremely slow.Overall: delayed room readiness, missing amenities, repeated mistakes with dietary requests, slow service and poor room practicality. I would not recommend this property unless service standards improve significantly.
Overall, the hotel is good. The room was clean, beautiful, and comfortable. Housekeeping service was also good, and the food was quite tasty. The overall stay experience was nice.However, the front office staff could have been a little more warm and welcoming. There was nothing rude or wrong in their behavior, but the smile and hospitality feeling that is usually expected from front office staff was missing.Other than that, the hotel is great.
Value for money. Superb.
