Hotel Doon's Pride

The breakfast experience at the hotel was very disappointing. Many food items were not available, and the options provided were extremely limited. Even the basic items were either finished early or not replenished on time.This lack of availability made the experience frustrating, especially for guests who expect a proper breakfast service. The management needs to improve stock availability and ensure timely refilling of food items.Overall, the breakfast service was poorly managed and did not meet expectations.

I had the opportunity to stay in the hotel for 3 nights in early april. It is ideally situated near the railwsy station and the Mussoorie bus stand, 10-15 minutes away from the Clock Tower and 20 minutes from Gandhi park, apparently the only park open to the public in the noisy and polluted city of Dehra Dun. The room is large , the bed is very comfortable, the shower is pleasant, the tv has international channels. Take a room in the back/facing the mountains if you want silence. The main drawback is the behaviour of the local travellers who arrive at 1 or even 4 am, shout between their rooms and let the door open, showing total disrespect towards clients who try to sleep. I observed this phenomenon at several hotels, so this hotel is not to be blamed; unethical customers are.There's a restaurant on the first floor, and an interesting menu. Unfortunately, the sad habit consisting to add chilli in every dish ruins both palate and stomach. The people in charge are very nice and tried to persuade the cook, but to no avail. So, enjoy sleeping while you can and eat somewhere else.
