Malnad Shire An Eco Resort

Stopped by on our journey back to Bangalore, for one night. The resort is new and amenities are very good. Service staff are polite and helpful. Only one feedback would be the food handling and quality. We asked for a simple meal for our kids (under age 6) and while they were kind enough to make it for us outside of regular restaurant hours, the food was extremely greasy. Even the regular dishes we ordered for adults were the same. Also the prices of dishes are pretty steep + charging close to 200/- for one flask of plain milk (for our toddler) is a lot. At the buffet we saw servers handling the food directly. Unsure if it was the quality of ingredients used, the food handling or not, but a day after our stay there our entire family of 4 landed up with food poisoning.

The rooms were spacious and clean.+ Restaurant food is good but prices are on the higher side.+ Swimming pool was clean but there are no floats provided.+ The indoor games are in good condition.+ They have a well maintained gym.+ Boogie car service is also available.- The AC in our room was not working and even after informing multiple times no one bothered to visit and rectify. Really felt bad. Service needs to be improved.

I stayed at Malnad Shire in Shivamogga and booked the property through Agoda, which turned out to be the best deal. Offline pricing can be quite expensive, so I would definitely recommend booking online in advance.The property is excellent and very well maintained. The rooms are top-notch, spacious, and comfortable. The resort has great amenities including a swimming pool, gym, play area, spa, and a well-maintained restaurant, making it suitable for both relaxation and family stays.The food is on the expensive side, but it is absolutely worth the price in terms of quality and taste. The breakfast spread was good and satisfying.If you’re planning to visit the Sakrebyle Elephant Camp, Malnad Shire is a very convenient and comfortable option to stay nearby.Overall, a premium stay experience and a great choice for a relaxing getaway in Shivamogga.

This resort hotel offers a tranquil escape near Shimoga, conveniently located just a 30-minute drive from the city bus station and under 10 minutes from the airport.The grounds are a highlight, boasting well-maintained greenery, peaceful pathways, and a comprehensive range of resort amenities, including a clean and spacious swimming pool. Guest rooms and bathrooms are well-kept, though the interior design is notably basic and could benefit from professional refinement.The service is commendable; the staff are consistently attentive, courteous, and well-behaved.A significant concern regarding public hygiene was noted: a friendly stray dog was observed accessing customer's soiled plates left unattended in the corridors. While the dog is gentle with guests, management is strongly advised to address this serious hygiene issue and consider regular feeding to prevent the dog from seeking food within the premises.I am unable to comment on Food & Beverage as the dining facilities were not utilized by me.Overall: A recommended destination for a calm and quiet holiday away from urban noise.

’’’’READ THE REVIEW BEFORE BOOKING’’’’The hotel is located in the outskirts of the city and there is parking available on the property. Rooms are super clean and spacious. Swimming pool, children’s park, indoor games area, lawns, restaurants etc all are maintained quite well and kept clean. Boogie car service is also available. The buffet spread is also good. Such are the fittings in room that one can find all major apps active and subscribed in One Plus TV in rooms with American Standard Bathroom fittings and Mitsubishi AC and high end window and door frames fitted to reduce the noise.However keep in mind that the resort is right next to a convention hall and both are located in the same compound boundary. Before you book, kindly check with property if any event is happening or not. We stayed for two nights and in one of the nights there was a wedding going on in the convention hall with fire crackers, dhol, music etc. playing loud to disturb your sleep or peace even if you close your windows and doors of the room. People spend money to stay in this resort and would prefer a quiet place and may not like loud music, fire crackers etc and chances are there that small kids would be disturbed with all these. Also the convention hall lawn and the in house restaurant lawn is shared leaving no place for in house guests to chill in the lawn. Hence do check the resort before you book if you want peace during your stay.
