MPT Sailani Island Resort, Sailani Island

Please be very careful before visiting this place. Since this place is on am island, very frequent all access routes to this place gets submerged die to release of water from dam. You will end up driving for good 3-4 hours only to be turned away from right at main entrance. The attitude of staff spoke volumes of how the sorry would have been if it was open (read pathetic). They showed absolutely zero concern to any tourist who visited them for day trip and were apparently ok with ferrying people who had booked night stay on boats. Please avoid.

A completely disappointing experience! The resort is government-managed, and it clearly shows ’ no service, no cleanliness, and no management at all. The toilets are filthy, with flush water coming out on the floor. Staff are lazy and unhelpful ’ they provided only two small water bottles for four people and charged ’94 for just two more! No welcome drinks, no play zone for kids, and water leakage all over the ground, making it unsafe even to walk.The road to reach the resort is horrible ’ completely broken and deep inside the forest. It’s not at all suitable for families, especially if you’re traveling with your wife and kids. The place feels isolated and unsafe at night. There’s nothing here for children or couples to enjoy ’ it’s more like a place for old-age visitors who just want quiet surroundings.Even the basic amenities are missing ’ the rooms don’t have soap, shampoo, or towels. You have to ask for everything, and only then they provide it. Morning tea service is also not available in rooms ’ if you request it, they simply refuse to serve. The food is extremely basic, nothing special, and the service is painfully slow. Paying ’11,000 for one night in an AC cottage and getting such poor facilities and treatment is really disappointing. Not worth visiting at all!

We stayed in the resort on 25-26 October 2025. It is a jewel in MPT's places of stay. Stunning location, excellent ambience, serene and calm place midst Narmada river. Rooms are excellent neat and clean provide excellent view of the backwaters. Good water sports facility are also avaliable with play area for children. Food and service are also very good. Must stay place

The location and the boat ride to the property is wow. This is my 2nd time at this property. The property needs maintainence, the rooms are dusty. The bathroom is clogged and smelly. The property is amazing admist the nature and Narmda rivier. Omkareshwar is closeby. Everything is perfect just that the property requires decent maintenance. Otherwise its 5star worthy.
