A nice hotel to stay at while transiting in Dimapur. The food is tasty and the service is pleasant.

I usually stay at Hotel Saramati when visiting Dimapur, but this time I booked this hotel because of the kitchenette, hoping to prepare simple meals for our kids. Unfortunately, it was very disappointing. The room, especially the sitting area, was dark and gloomy, needing light even during the day. The sheets had hair on them, so I had to ask for a change. They were worn out, see-through (I could see the mattress brand and writing), and not ironed, unlike the crisp sheets in good hotels. The pillows were dirty, and the kitchen sink looked grimy. The nonstick pans were battered and unusable, so I bought my own pans and utensils after repeated requests for stainless steel pans were ignored. The toilet was poorly designed; the seat cover kept falling unless pressed down, and the flush only worked if pressed hard. I should have requested a room change for this. On checkout day, we found an adult cockroach near the bed. The staff seemed very disconnected, which was surprising since Nagas are usually friendly. They never asked how things were going, and when I raised issues, they were disrespectful and didn't acknowledge them. My room wasn't serviced at all during our three-night stay. There were many mosquitoes, and the repellant liquid didn't work, causing my younger child to get badly bitten. I definitely do not recommend this hotel. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else. Looking back, I should have left after the first night, but we were jetlagged and I was traveling alone with two kids.

I attended the MomsWeCare program at this hotel and stayed in the most luxurious and spacious room. The staff were very friendly and provided excellent assistance, making me feel very comfortable. After the program, we explored other vacant rooms, each uniquely decorated to reflect the significance and names of various tribes, which I found very special. It also included notes about the state it represents, helping tourists connect with the local history. I was amazed by the owner's dedication to bringing the culture of Nagaland to life through this hotel—truly a unique masterpiece. I will definitely recommend this hotel to my friends and family. Additionally, there is a lovely cafe offering delicious food where you can enjoy watching people on the street, making any visit here memorable. Wishing the Oak House team all the best. Love, Lanu.

Makemytrip's room pictures were misleading, especially regarding the bathroom. The bathroom was very small and had clogged sinks that caused water to spill into the room. The beds had un-ironed blankets and sheets, and the pillows were too small. When I raised these issues with customer care, the hotel quietly took down the pictures, making it seem like they were never posted.

I would recommend this place if you want a well-furnished serviced apartment in Dimapur.
