This was the worst experience we've encountered at a hotel. The location is very far from the city, and the service was non-existent. In 30-degree heat, there was no cold water or ice available. The food selection was very limited to just basic dal, paneer, roti, and rice with restricted timing. We woke up late and requested tea and coffee but were told the kitchen was closed until 2 pm. We had to go without food or tea as there were no local shops nearby and our taxi was at 4 pm. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

The hotel is located far from Gangtok city. The roads are in very poor condition and rough. The hotel is quite old, but the architecture is wonderful. It needs better maintenance though. The restaurant offers a very limited menu. The staff were friendly and behaved well.

I stayed in a suite which was very nice, featuring a large room, a private balcony, and views of Gangtok. Although the hotel is somewhat distant from central Gangtok, the overall experience was positive. Since it's a bit far, planning is necessary. If you enjoy greenery and a quiet atmosphere, you can have a pleasant evening here. The place also serves as a viewpoint, so visiting in the evening or night is recommended.

Caution is advised! The hotel is not as pictured. It seems large from outside but is actually located atop a building that is a public space. The place is poorly kept, with trash everywhere. The chef controls the menu entirely; guests cannot choose freely, and breakfast varies depending on how many guests are present. The rooms are larger than other hotels, but the urinals have stubborn urine stains, the sofas are in terrible condition with stains, and water bottles have rusty caps. The lighting shuts off at midnight, making entering or leaving the hotel feel eerie and unsafe.

We booked a 3-night stay from 20 to 24 May 2026. On the first evening, insects entered our room and our complaint was only addressed after 45 minutes. The bed linens were dirty with hair and stains. Our request for a blanket was fulfilled after about 40 minutes. There was a 3-hour power outage at night with no backup, and the phones were not working. At dinner time, the restaurant's fridge was broken. The invoice could not be printed because the printer was out of order. Due to all these issues, we had to check out the next day. Agoda contacted the hotel on our behalf but there has been no response or refund. We cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.
