I discovered this 3-star hotel on Lingding Rd and found it quite enjoyable. Staying at Hotel Greenery View provided a calm getaway with suitable amenities for its class. Its location in Tadong, Gangtok is practical for sightseeing around Sikkim. Overall, it is a reliable option for a comfortable and economical trip.

This place was conveniently situated on Lingding Road. The rooms were clean and provided a nice view. The service was quick and accommodating. Overall, a good option for a comfortable stay in Gangtok. The atmosphere was very calming.

Deceptive Pricing, Hostile Owner, and Terrible ExperienceI would give this property a zero-star rating if it were possible. The property itself is decent and the staff is well-behaved, but the owner is rude, condescending, and deceitful.We saw a listing of ’1500/night on Booking.com. When I called to confirm, the owner spoke very kindly and claimed the online price was "false" and only for their worst corner room. We negotiateed and agreed over the phone to book 3 decent, non-view rooms for ’1700 each, including breakfast. I told him we were traveling a long distance with a family of 6, including a child, and would arrive late. He assured us everything was taken care of.When we arrived late at night in bad weather, he provided cramped, moldy rooms that did not match our verbal agreement. When I politely tried to remind him that He started shouting at me, accusing me of arguing, and told us to find another place. He even shouted at his own staff when they tried to diffuse the situation and tried to come up w a solution. It felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic, and we felt deeply judged and targeted’potentially due to our vehicle's bihar license plate.An Excellent Alternative Nearby:Instead of staying there, we moved Dream Glory Hotel just two buildings ahead on the same street. They welcomed us warmly, gave us much cleaner and better rooms for ’1500 each, and helped us plan the rest of our trip.Save yourself the stress and avoid this property entirely. Do not trust the commitments of this owner. He is hostile, unreliable, and unsafe to deal with.Update:Thank you for your response. To be clear, we made absolutely no demands for "freebies." Had you simply stated that parking was unavailable, we would have gladly moved our vehicle or paid for a spot. We were even willing to opt out of breakfast, take a non-view room, to agree on a reasonable room rate. As tourists, we do not feel entitled to every single service.The issue was never the money. It is your property, and you have every right to charge whatever you wish for your services. The true issue was the owner's rude demeanor, a total lack of basic decency, and the blatant manipulation of our verbal agreement.Being treated with such hostility right from the start gave us more than enough reason to decide against staying with you. This is neither speculation nor assumption; it is the exact, factual experience we had during the 15 minutes we spent standing on your property.

Avoid this property completely; the owner is hostile, unreliable, and unsafe to deal with. We never asked for freebies and were willing to accommodate parking issues or accept a lower room rate.

Had the best hotel stay with family. The room was spacious, staff were friendly, food was delicious, and there was parking space available.
