I had an amazing experience staying here during my birthday trip. I met some wonderful people including the hosts and other guests. The property is clean, well-run, and has a calming, retreat-like atmosphere. I strongly suggest visiting the cafe downstairs; it’s charming, offers board games, food is tasty, well-portioned, and affordable. The location is close enough to the main market to walk if needed. I look forward to staying here again on future visits to Gangtok. It’s a lovely place with a pleasant environment and friendly people.

I had an amazing experience in Gangtok on my first visit to Sikkim. I stayed for four days, and the service, facilities, and atmosphere were excellent. I met lots of people and enjoyed the local flavors at the downstairs cafe. On my next trip, when I planned to stay longer, I stayed three weeks, made many local friends, attended several events I wouldn't have known about otherwise, and joined many Tagalong-led activities. The location is fantastic—situated in the Development Area, fairly flat (which is nice for those not used to hills), and close to many attractions. I really love Tag Along Backpackers and highly recommend it for backpackers of all ages and genders.

We stayed for just one night and visited the café downstairs once, but overall it was very good and we'd book again. The main positives were that the rooms and bathrooms were clean. We booked two private rooms; one was good and featured separate toilets and bathing areas. The café hosts daily events, and Friday karaoke nights are very lively. The staff are responsive and communicate well. The neighborhood is much better than m g marg. We wanted to return to try the ningroo and churpi pizza but were unable to. They also provide a large board with useful local info to help plan trips around Sikkim.
