My experience at Mellow Fellow Hostel was honestly very disappointing. The only major positive thing I can mention is the location.Hygiene was a serious concern. There was a weird, rotten smell around the property, and the overall cleanliness and maintenance were far from satisfactory. I even found blood stains on the bedsheets, which is completely unacceptable for a hostel and raises serious concerns about whether the linen is being properly changed and cleaned between guests.Another major issue was smoking inside the rooms. People were smoking indoors and nobody seemed bothered to intervene or consider other guests. There was also no proper ventilation and no fans in the rooms, which made the situation even more uncomfortable.Security was another concern. Overall, there seemed to be very little attention given to basic guest safety and comfort.To make matters worse, the receptionist was extremely rude and unwelcoming. Even when guests have genuine concerns, basic courtesy and professionalism should be expected from the front desk.The location is good, but unfortunately that is the only real positive I can take away from my stay. Hygiene, linen cleanliness, ventilation, smoking inside rooms, security and staff behaviour all need serious improvement. I would strongly suggest the management address these basic issues because the property has potential, but the current guest experience is nowhere close to acceptable
