Recently attended a marriage reception of a relative ... great ambience n location ... all good except the food .... the food was literally cold ... I opted for tandoori roti but it was literally like rubber and the entire food laid was super cold ... not that I'm exaggerating but being super honest ... for such a high class hotel in Sikkim its very disheartening to see the carelessness... im sure some might say that probably it was late ...no it was 4 pm.. Providing warm food is bare minimum for a Big hotel like MayFair ... full stars for ambience,interiors and the visuals but sadly 2 star for food ... I hope that u take this review as a pointer for improvement n not take it otherwise .. thank u ..

The property itself is beautiful and well maintained, but unfortunately our stay was impacted by several issues. Hotel wise its 5 star so beautiful and breakfast staff was very accommodating but we had faced issue during our stay.Half of the property was blocked due to a wedding, which made us wonder why our booking was accepted in the first place without prior information. Because of the event, we were not allowed to access our car from the hotel entrance and were instead asked to walk to the main road every time we needed to get in or out of the vehicle for 1 day.This was especially inconvenient as we were traveling with an infant and multiple bags, making the situation quite stressful and uncomfortable. For guests who are paying the full price for their stay, the hotel should have made alternative arrangements or provided proper assistance if they knew things would be difficult for regular guest. We were more upset with no arrangements made for other guests and were treated so badly asking to get down. Not letting our car inside and going in circles outside. Not waiting to listen also.We raised our concerns during the stay and requested some concession or refund considering the inconvenience caused, but no resolution has been offered so far. While the property has a lot of potential, better planning and guest support during private events is definitely needed.we should have been informed before hand if this was the case. We could have booked somewhere were we would be treated fairly.

Mayfair Spa Resort & Casino in Gangtok is a luxurious hilltop property surrounded by lush greenery and stunning views. While it’s slightly away from the city and on the pricier side, the peaceful atmosphere and quality service make it a great choice for a relaxed, upscale stay.Casino Mahjong at the Mayfair Resort offers a lively gaming experience in a luxury setting near Gangtok. The casino has a good mix of table games and slot machines, with a vibrant atmosphere and helpful staff. While it may not match international casinos in scale, it’s a fun spot for nightlife and entertainment in Sikkim. Entry fees can feel a bit high, and the crowd gets busy at night, but overall it’s worth a visit if you enjoy gaming.

4/5 ’ A Classic Property with Great HospitalityI recently stayed at Mayfair Resort & Spa, Gangtok, and overall it was a wonderful experience. The staff is extremely polite, courteous and always ready to help, which really elevates the stay. The rooms and bathrooms are surprisingly spacious and comfortable, giving a luxurious feel.The property itself is beautiful, but it’s quite old and that does come with one major drawback ’ there are no lifts in the main building. You have to climb multiple sets of stairs, which can be challenging for elders or anyone with medical issues. This is the only aspect that pulled down the experience slightly.Apart from that, everything about Mayfair is impressive ’ from the ambiance to the service. A great stay overall, just be prepared for some stair climbing!

Staying at the hotel in Gangtok was a truly wonderful experience. The meals provided were absolutely delicious, showcasing a remarkable culinary expertise. Moreover, the front desk service, especially from Simon, was exceptionally helpful and efficient. The overall atmosphere was welcoming and conducive to relaxation. We would certainly consider returning for another stay in the future.
