Our stay at this hotel was fantastic from beginning to end. The rooms were very comfortable and well kept. The staff consistently delivered excellent service, making us feel very welcome. Dining was a standout feature, with impressive food quality and generous portions that made every meal a pleasure. Although the pool is somewhat small, it remains a nice place to unwind. What truly distinguishes this resort is its stunning design—beautiful architecture combined with lush, crafted natural surroundings and scenic trails create a peaceful and elegant environment that makes wandering the property a joy. Definitely recommended!

This was the worst gaming experience imaginable. The bouncers acted like criminals and tried to intimidate us. Since we were drunk, we fought back, but one of them punched my friend so hard he was seriously hurt. We're not locals, so we'll attempt legal action from our home, though we doubt it will have any effect because they seem wealthy. Also, hardly anyone comes here, and soon there will be no visitors at all given the poor treatment and service from the staff.

Extremely Disappointing Experience at Mayfair GangtokI had an extremely disappointing and unpleasant experience during my stay at Mayfair Gangtok. Unfortunately, the service, staff behaviour, and room quality were nowhere close to what I expected from a property of this standard.I have previously stayed at Mayfair Guwahati and Mayfair Kalimpong, and my experience at both properties was absolutely excellent. The hospitality, staff behaviour, service, rooms, and overall experience were all outstanding. That is why I had very high expectations from Mayfair Gangtok. Sadly, this stay was completely the opposite.The staff at Mayfair Gangtok were quite rude and unresponsive, and the service was extremely slow. Whenever we called for assistance, it took a very long time for someone to come.The refrigerator in our room was not working, and even after informing the staff, there was a significant delay in getting it checked.The biggest issue was Room No. 2209. The room was extremely uncomfortable and, honestly, the overall atmosphere felt almost horror-like. The painting inside the room was also extremely scary and gave the room a very disturbing and uncomfortable atmosphere, especially for children.The mattress/springs were in very poor condition, making it extremely difficult to sleep. Our children could not sleep properly throughout the night because of the uncomfortable mattress and the overall atmosphere of the room.For a luxury property like Mayfair, this level of service and room quality is simply unacceptable. Especially after having such wonderful experiences at Mayfair Guwahati and Mayfair Kalimpong, I was genuinely shocked by the difference.I sincerely request the management to take this feedback seriously, personally inspect Room No. 2209, replace/check the mattress, review the room’s interior and painting, ensure all room facilities are working properly, and look into the behaviour and response time of the staff.I am a genuine Mayfair customer and have had excellent experiences with your other properties, which is why this experience was even more disappointing. I hope the management takes corrective action so that other guests, especially families with children, do not have to go through the same experience.Very disappointing stay at Mayfair Gangtok. I genuinely expected much better from Mayfair.

If this is what a 5-star hotel is supposed to be, then the standards must have gone on vacation.The food experience is genuinely disappointing. Chicken lovers get the luxury of choosing between... two dishes. Mutton? One lonely option. Such incredible variety!The rooms don't even have that fresh, welcoming smell you'd expect from a premium property. Breakfast is underwhelming, evening tea is reduced to the classic "chai and pakoda" with nothing memorable, and dinner was already disappointing enough that I had to raise it earlier.Room service deserves a special mention. Every request requires repeated follow-ups, and proactive service seems to be completely missing. The only thing consistently delivered on time is the greeting with a smile.The swimming pool is surprisingly small for a property claiming to be 5-star, and worse, it wasn't even properly maintained. Visible insects and dust in the pool hardly inspire confidence.Overall, this hotel seems to have mastered saying "Welcome" but forgotten everything that should come after it. Definitely not a 5-star experience, unless the stars are being awarded for greetings alone.
