The Sherpa's Abode

We had a very pleasant and cozy stay. The owner was very friendly and took excellent care of us, even personally driving us to MG Marg. He and all the staff were friendly and helpful. The food was very good, just like homemade meals. It was the best stay possible in Gangtok. My entire family really enjoyed our time here. Thanks to the owner, Nima Uncle, for the wonderful care.

The stay was excellent. The place felt safe, secure, and hygienic. Everything was well maintained.

This place is highly recommended for families and groups. The warm and heartfelt welcome truly felt like 'atithi devo bhava'. We stayed here for 3 nights and 2 days and found the hospitality to be very genuine and down-to-earth. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay; the rooms were spacious, clean, and well-maintained. The mountain views from the balcony and terrace were just stunning. All staff members were very cooperative. The homemade food was delicious and enjoyable. We will definitely recommend Sherpa's Abode to anyone seeking a peaceful and homely stay in Gangtok. Special thanks to the owner uncle and aunty, who were kind, polite, and always ready to help with a smile.

I stayed at the homestay from June 6th to 9th. Even after two days, I really miss the place. The homestay has a great location. The place is excellent. Uncle was very helpful and gave great advice. The other staff were equally friendly. After staying there, you will definitely miss the place.

We had an incredible stay at Sherpa's abode! Although new to homestays, we were delighted with our choice. The sensation of living above the clouds was unforgettable. The rooms were pleasant, with breathtaking views of Gangtok city and a warm, elegant, homely atmosphere. The food stood out as a highlight with delightful homemade meals. Most remarkable was the devoted attention from Nemaji, the owner, who cared for my wife’s altitude sickness by providing herbal and allopathic medicines and regularly checking her until she recovered the next day—such heartfelt concern is uncommon these days. Nimaji also graciously showed us around his lovely home and a beautiful Buddhist prayer room, offering a space of peace and calm.
