Punnamada Resort

We stayed at Punnamada Resort for four nights with my family and two kids. We are Malayalees settled in Australia, visiting our homeland for a holiday. The resort turned out to be a wonderful choice ’ the services were excellent, and the location is absolutely beautiful. It’s surrounded by nature and truly offers a peaceful, scenic experience in a natural habitat.The only downside I would like to mention is the design of the toilet. The ventilation is located at the bottom part of the wall, which seems risky as small creatures could enter. In fact, we found a frog and several small insects inside. Since my kids were born and brought up abroad, they were quite scared of this situation, and it was a bit inconvenient for us.Another concern was the weak Wi-Fi connection. The resort provided a dongle, but it didn’t work properly. Internet access was available only near the restaurant and reception area. While we understand it’s a nature retreat, a basic internet connection is important for staying in touch with loved ones and for small work-related needs, especially for international visitors.That said, the staff were absolutely wonderful ’ friendly, helpful, and professional in every area. The location and ambiance are truly special, and despite the minor issues, we were very happy with our stay. We would definitely love to visit again in the future.Thank you, Punnamada Resort team, for a memorable experience. ’’

Pros:1. Beautiful rustic vibes2. Direct access to the backwaters3. Courteous staff4. Old style unique roomsCons:1. Restaurants service is painfully slow and inefficient. A-la-carte orders will take 40 to 50 minutes to be served. Breakfast buffet timed for 8AM will not be fully setup till 8:30. Even simplest things like tea, coffee, boiled eggs will not be available on the buffet table and will have to be ordered separately, and then it takes a long time.2. Mosquitoes are a menace in the night. No amount of mosquito repellent are going to help. We hardly got any sleep.3. Toilets are in an open courtyard. So if you have to go in the night, it isn't very safe.

Its a nice experience for me and my family in the Punnamada Resort. The staff members are very friendly and helpful. The Restaurant service I like most. Rooms are very beautifully arranged. Overall, me and my family enjoyed our holiday their by using their varieties of amenities like indoor games, Shikara boat ride etc.

First of all I just loved the Nature of the Resort. Its completely family friendly and eco friendly nature resort. Specially I love the architecture designs of the entire resort also the Ayurveda treatment is really very very relaxable i really loved it. The sunset view from the Shikara boat ride is really excellent. Afterall i nicely enjoy my vacation in this resort with my family. If you need a eco friendly nature resort than I suggest you to come ker??la and atleast one night spend their and enjoy your vacation.

I stayed 26th to 28th ..excellent location with calm place..we relaxed with the nature and chirping of birds..we enjoyed the backwater. But be cautious when children playing nearby backwater. No caution signal or barricade.. the lunch and dinner little costly..but tasty..particularly Avial, tuvaran,kadi ,kerala parata etc..The rooms are like traditional one..door,door key copper pot etc are traditional...we enjoyed in the boathouse..Mr.Shyam captain of the boat and chef Vinod are very friendly. Swimming pool also clean ..excellent resort
