Simrose Resort

We had a great time at Simrose Resort. Its location is ideal—right on the beach with stunning views and easy sea access. The food was top-notch, offering a broad selection of tasty dishes. Each meal was a pleasure, consistently high in quality. The staff were very helpful, polite, and always willing to assist. Special thanks to Roshan and the restaurant team for their outstanding hospitality and delicious food throughout our visit. They made our stay even more special. Overall, our experience was wonderful, and we highly recommend Simrose Resort for anyone seeking a peaceful beach holiday with excellent cuisine and service.

This was the best vacation I've had in years. You have to try their English breakfast. The rooms are well kept and the bathrooms are clean.

The restaurant team deserves special praise—they provided excellent service, paid close attention to details, and the food was consistently delicious. They turned every meal into a wonderful experience. Thanks to the whole Simrose Resort team for making our visit so memorable. We made great memories and will definitely come back. We highly suggest Simrose Resort to anyone seeking a relaxing stay with superb hospitality and tasty food! The location was the sole positive aspect of our visit. Beyond that, everything else was fairly ordinary. The rooms appeared dull and lacked sufficient storage, missing a proper wardrobe or desk for belongings. Additionally, there was no intercom in the room, and WiFi was not available. The food was expensive relative to its quality. Although it was passable, it did not justify the cost. Overall, the property seemed to charge high prices for its facilities, even in the off-season, but the quality and services fell short of what one would expect at that rate. I wouldn’t suggest this place. The only reason to stay here is if you specifically want to be in Agonda and cannot find better lodging options. Otherwise, there are probably much better accommodations offering greater value.

I want to make it clear that I did not actually stay at this resort. My review is based solely on the one hour we spent there, so I am rating the service 3 stars, the location 5 stars since it is right on the beach, and the rooms just 1 star because they were awful. The BAD Part We had booked Simrose Resort for a family vacation in the last week of June 2026. Our choice was based on online reviews from other travelers, which is where the problem lies. Not all reviews are reliable; it’s always a risk. We drove all the way from Mumbai and arrived around 4 pm, excited to start our vacation. The staff greeted us warmly, check-in was done quickly, our car was unloaded, and we were shown to our room, a Quadruple Garden Hut. We were shocked by the room’s condition. It was nothing like the pictures we saw when booking. The wallpaper was peeling, the mattress was old, hard, and smelled bad, and the bathroom was unbearable. The room was dark and gloomy with poor lighting. Everything was just awful. We immediately returned to reception and asked for a different room. The staff took us to another Quadruple Garden Hut, but it was in the same bad shape. We don’t usually swim at beach resorts, but I noticed the pool as we passed by and it was very dirty with mossy water. Just wanted to mention that. The Good Part After seeing the second hut, we went back to reception to express our concerns. The person attending us (I think he was the manager, a Nepali gentleman) listened patiently. We looked at the online pictures posted by the property, which were much better than what we saw. He had no excuse since the pictures and our experience spoke for themselves. I asked for a full refund since my family refused to stay there. I must say this gentleman gave me a full refund immediately and without any argument. So despite the terrible experience, the evening ended on a good note, and after about an hour, we left to find a better place in Goa.
