In July 2026, my husband and I had the pleasure of staying at Summit Kalimpong Resort, which offered us much more than just accommodation—it was a truly memorable experience. For those traveling to Kalimpong with elderly relatives, I strongly suggest this resort. Even without extensive sightseeing, simply observing the clouds and sunlight over the mountains from the property is enchanting and deeply calming. Cleanliness is something I always pay attention to, and this resort surpassed my expectations. Every area, from the rooms to the dining and outdoor spaces, was impeccably clean and well kept. My favorite place was the landscaped lawn seating area adorned with hanging vines, cozy seats, and serene mountain views—ideal for tea, meals, or just relaxing. The hospitality was exceptional. The restaurant staff were friendly, courteous, and attentive. One elderly gentleman, in particular, showed genuine care, making us feel more like family than guests. Breakfast was outstanding, with staff regularly checking on us and even offering fresh omelettes. This warmth continued during high tea, even when the resort had few guests, and when fully booked, every table still received equal attention—truly impressive consistency. The food quality was excellent. Although the prices seemed a bit high initially, the flavors fully justified the cost. We especially loved the fried rice with fish and the Chilli Fish with fried rice—both were superb. I would rate their hospitality 20 out of 10. The games room, featuring Ludo, Carrom, and other indoor games, was a pleasant addition for relaxed evenings. However, the standout feature was definitely the view from our room. Watching clouds drift over the mountains was captivating. By evening, the clouds moved onto our balcony and even into our room, enveloping us completely—it felt like living inside the clouds. I plan to share photos of this surreal moment. It was peaceful, magical, and unforgettable—something words can hardly express. Thank you, Summit Kalimpong Resort, for providing us not just a stay, but memories to last a lifetime. We eagerly anticipate returning.
