The Crown, Bhubaneswar - IHCL SeleQtions

During my last visit for dining experience. What I understood is staffs are trained to be thick skinned. Chef does not know what’s quality. We got plenty of dark burned particles in the fried noodles of manchow soup. Ofcourse the soup was just as tasteless like a ready made soup made from sachet. They made a Thai/asian dish horribly Indian by adding too much of tandoori masala. Pay a visit to any Marriott to know how horrible this place for eating out.Update - i have spoken to Mr. Ranjan for his own internal review and actions if any.

Great view and an impressive property, but unfortunately the service completely fails to match the standard of the hotel.The staff are extremely slow and unresponsive. Even basic requests require constant follow-ups, which becomes frustrating. Service delays are routine rather than occasional.Food options are very limited and not worth the wait or the price. Deciding what to order often feels like a risk. Shockingly, simple items like chapati or paratha take 30’40 minutes to arrive, which is unacceptable for a hotel claiming to operate at a professional level.This property is not suitable for hosting sports teams. There is a clear lack of urgency, coordination, and understanding of athletes’ needs. The environment does not feel welcoming or supportive for teams that depend on timely service and efficient hospitality.The premise has potential, but without serious improvements in staff attitude, service speed, and food quality, the experience remains disappointing.

Beautiful hotel.Comfortable rooms.Amenities-wise too it's a great value-for-money hotel.Victoria and Biswajit, especially, were very helpful in the restaurant. Great service overall.Am definitely visiting again.No point staying in Puri when BBSR is this good, and just 1 hr 20 mins from Puri. I could literally plan my to-n-from The Crown hotel, on a daily basis. Was cheaper on the pockets too.

I had a very pleasant stay at Crown, Bhubaneswar. The hospitality was warm and attentive, true to the brand, and the staff made the experience genuinely comfortable. The rooms were spacious and well thought out, with nice attention to detail. The dinner buffet was excellent, with a great spread and delicious food. A special mention to Animesh, who added a personal touch and ensured everything was well taken care of. Overall, a very good stay, and I look forward to returning.’If you want it even punchier (3’4 lines), I can do that

A recent stay at The Crown for 2 nights was a great experience. The hotel with contemporary & fresh decor is spacious, well lit and managed by a cheerful team. Multiple team members made our stay special and enjoyable. Abhik at the front desk, Biswajit and Animesh at the restaurant and many others whose names I have not captured here, contributed to a memorable stay. My sincere thanks to Chef Srivastava for taking personal care for our event. The food and service in the restaurants as well as for the wedding function was excellent and worthy of the Taj tag. My niece's wedding event dinner service-team was augmented by an enthusiastic and ever smiling set of students from IHM Bhubaneswar. My sincere thanks to all of them.
