I visited the spa and enjoyed an excellent ayurvedic massage treatment. I definitely recommend it.

The place is quite technologically advanced. Our stay went well, though the hotel lacks the luxurious ambiance typical of a 5-star property.

I stayed at this hotel in early July 2026 and had a very pleasant experience. The room was large, comfortable, and well kept. The bathroom was spacious, very clean, and the toilet had a powerful flush. The room doesn't offer a scenic view since it mainly faces the city due to the hotel's location. However, the location is very convenient, being next to Pothys and close to many shops, including tailor shops, making it a great base for exploring the area. The TV has a good range of channels. A unique aspect of the room is that nearly everything is controlled via an iPad, so it's important to keep it charged. The minibar is fully stocked but all items are chargeable. The indoor swimming pool is beautiful and was one of my favorite amenities. The hotel also has an in-house spa for guests looking to relax. Dining was equally impressive. Breakfast featured a large buffet along with a good selection of a la carte dishes. Everything I tried was tasty, especially the masala dosa with chicken curry, the poori, and the excellent South Indian coffee. I want to especially praise Mr. Sarath and Ms. Aiklida. Their service exceeded expectations. They were warm, attentive, professional, and truly enhanced the dining experience. During my stay, I had an issue with the laundry service. After checking into my next hotel, I found one pair of pants missing. This was initially disappointing. However, I must commend the hotel for how well they handled it. After investigation, the laundry team traced my missing item and arranged for it to be returned to me in Chennai the same day. This was an exceptional effort beyond what I expected. I sincerely appreciate Mr. Praba from the laundry team, who personally traveled late at night to deliver my missing pants. His dedication and willingness to go the extra mile show the true spirit of hospitality and high service standards associated with the Ritz-Carlton brand. I also thank the Front Office Manager, Mr. Jia, who closely followed up with me throughout the process until my laundry was safely returned. Even after delivery, he called to ensure everything was fine. His genuine concern, professionalism, and ownership gave me confidence that the hotel truly cared about resolving the issue to my satisfaction. Service lapses can happen anywhere, but what sets an exceptional hotel apart is how it responds when things go wrong. In this case, the team showed professionalism, accountability, and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction. Their outstanding service recovery turned what could have been a disappointing experience into one that strengthened my trust in the hotel. Overall, I had a memorable stay and would gladly recommend this hotel. The excellent facilities, great dining, and especially the exemplary service recovery left a very positive and lasting impression on me.
