Theyila Wayanad

Excellent accommodation with very helpful and friendly staff who are always willing to help. My stay was comfortable and enjoyable, and I would definitely suggest this place to others.

My stay at Theyila was truly delightful. Located away from the busy town in a quiet, secluded spot, it’s an ideal place to relax and connect with nature. The final part of the trip involves a mud road, so it’s best to arrive by car, but the peacefulness you find there makes the journey worthwhile. The fresh air and the calming sounds of crickets and insects at night created a very soothing environment. The staff were very friendly, welcoming, and attentive throughout our visit. Since there isn’t an on-site restaurant, the team asks guests beforehand if they want dinner and arranges meals from nearby eateries. They also gave us a useful list of recommended restaurants, local sights, and tourist attractions to visit. Breakfast is served at the property and included with the stay. The buffet offered a tasty selection of healthy South Indian dishes, providing a great way to start the day. The cottages were roomy and beautifully crafted. Their traditional Kerala-style exterior blended perfectly with the modern, stylish interiors, giving the best of both styles. The property also offers indoor games like carrom and chess, which added to the relaxing experience. Overall, I really enjoyed my time at Theyila. If you want a calm retreat surrounded by nature with warm hospitality and comfortable rooms, this is a fantastic option.

I had an absolutely enjoyable time at Theyila. The stay is located in the interiors, away from main town areas. As such, the only way to reach is by car - there is mud roads until you reach the place from the main road. The air here is fresh and rejuvenating. At night you can hear crickets and other insects. The staff were very warm and helpful. Since they do not have a restaurant at the place, they ask you in advance if you want to dine at the stay, so that they can arrange food from nearby restaurants. But buffet breakfast is arranged for everyone and included a nice variety of healthy South Indian dishes. They even shared us a list of restaurants nearby and nearby attractions and tourist spots to visit. The cottages were spacious. They were Kerala themed from the exterior, but the interiors were modern and elegant. They have a few games like carrom and chess to play. I loved my visit to this place.
