Treebo Cecil Resort Matheran With Swimming Pool

A very poor experience staying at Cecil resort. Although only 650m from Matheran stn, it is located in forest area wherein accessibility becomes a big issue. When we scouted the property it seemed as if no one was staying here.If you are planning to book a stay at this hotel, kindly do so at your own risk.. Jio and Airtel sim does not work at this deserted and remote place and google maps would not be able to guide you also.. We had to shell out 500 bucks to take Horse Ride from Hotel to main market so that we can escape from this hotel. Manager was the only saving grace in this pathetic hotel.

This is a very relaxed and tourist-friendly resort in Matheran, i.e. It gives the vibe of Goa in Matheran. I stayed from 26th Dec to 28th Dec and the charges for family of three came to around 17K - which includes stay, 2 X Breakfast, 1 X Lunch and 2 X Dinners.The Campus is big; they have a swimming pool, music is good, and the vibe is relaxed.

I visited the hotel twice and both the times services were consistent. The rooms are clean, food is great and ambiance is worth it. The people who manage the hotel are humble and supportive. It's worth a visit. If you're a nature lover, the stay is most suitable. Do try their kolhapuri sabji if you love spicy food.

I had a vacation of two nights here. It is basically Parsi style property. It is very good experience. Location is 15 mints walk from Matheran railway station. Room is spacious. It needs to be furnished. Food is good. Staff is very much supportive.

The location and surroundings of the hotel are commendable. However, there is a lack of maintenance in the rooms. Hygiene issues. The bed and blankets had an unpleasant odor. There were no hand wash or shampoo provided. Additionally, room service was unavailable, and there were no towels in the rooms. On a positive note, the rooms are quite spacious, and the food offered is truly exceptional.
