Grand Hyatt Mumbai

An ideal place to stay for business meetings. Room service arrived like a gust of wind’efficient, unobtrusive, and finishing the job before you even realized they were there. The food overall was very good. While the Sunday buffet did not quite match the standard of the other days, the remaining meals were consistently excellent.A special mention to the housekeeping, food section staff and the security ’each one of them greeted me with a warm smile. That simple gesture truly makes a difference, especially when you are heading into important discussions. Their professionalism and positive attitude added greatly to the overall experience. I wouldn’t recommend for a family as - it is a bit crowded ! The atmosphere always had a sense of ’something is happening’ feeling - doesn’t have a calm and serene atmosphere - so if you r looking for some ’high energy’ vibe before an important meeting and some peaceful time inside the room - then this is the place.

Rooms: The hotel was very kind to upgrade me to a suite because of my loyalty status. The suite was quite spacious, but it’s very worn out (check out my photo of the flooring), and the bathroom layout was rather odd with just a single basin for a suite.Service: Service was rather underwhelming especially for a Grand Hyatt. Upon arrival, no one came to help me with my luggage, which was slightly disappointing especially because luggage had to go through security checks at the entrance, which is such a pain. Service at the front desk, club lounge, and breakfast was all very transactional. Don’t expect a morning greeting when you go for breakfast. The only saving grace was Gayatri from housekeeping, who was not only very warm and friendly, but incredibly efficient.Location: The hotel is close to the airport but far from everything else. It’s about a 15-minute walk to the Santacruz metro, but please don’t even attempt it to or from the airport as there’s no proper walkway for your luggage.Breakfast: Fifty Five East was a complete chaos. It was a rather unpleasant dining experience as it felt like a market. Food quality wasn’t great. Most of the items were the same every day (I was there for 5). I won’t ever pay for this.Grand Club: The club lounge is probably the nicest space in the hotel. The evening offering from 5:30-7:30pm was pretty good, with different items every day. Service, like the rest of the hotel, remained cold.

I attended a large event at this Hyatt and had a great experience. The hotel was very clean and well maintained, the service was professional, and the staff were helpful throughout the event. The food was excellent and well organized. They have a dedicated event hall that’s perfect for large gatherings, with a big screen and full sound and lighting controls, which made a big difference for the event experience. Overall, a very well-run hotel and a great venue for events.

I have stayed several times at the Grand Hyatt Mumbai and was blown away by the experience. From the moment I walked into the stunning, art-filled lobby, the hospitality was world-class. The rooms are incredibly spacious (a rarity in Mumbai!) and felt like a sanctuary after a long day.’The highlight for me was the breakfast at Fifty Five East’the variety is staggering. I also highly recommend dinner at China House; the Peking Duck is a must-try. Its proximity to BKC and the airport makes it perfect for business, yet the lush 12-acre greenery makes you feel like you’re at a resort. A special thanks to the attentive staff who made every request feel like a priority. I’ll definitely be back!"

Overall the service at the hotel was exceptional. Special shoutout to Sebastian who thoughtfully arranged every element of our stay. He organized an unforgettable insider tour of a Bollywood studio and even checked in with us after to confirm we had a positive experience. His hospitality and attention to detail truly reflect the best of the Grand Hyatt experience. Also a shoutout to Sunil at the Juniper bar for seamless service and delicious cocktails. Without a doubt Sunil’s bar itself deserves a 5 star rating.
