Firstly there is massive construction at the site next door which sometimes feels like you are living inside a construction site! There is NO mention of this at time of booking which is totally unacceptable. The noise is massively unbearable at most times. As my trip was a business trip I could not work indoors due to the excessive noise and decided to physically travel to Delhi for 3 nights to conclude my business. Hotel refused to give a 3 night credit or even a voucher for the 3 nights which were left unoccupied. Location is great with sea-facing bar & restaurant. Front end staff aren't the most accommodating. Monsoon season and they have no umbrellas for guest use (first hotel in India that doesn't provide this). AC's in rooms work on HIGH speed. So it's either freezing cold or you are stuck with a fan as you can't lower the AC speed. I stayed in 2 different rooms and can confirm this is the norm. I requested a high floor away from the elevator. However I received the lowest floor right next to the elevator upon check-in! Hotels that don't really take guest requests seriously are not worth a second visit. As a regular traveller to this city annually I doubt that i would return to this hotel.
I loved staying at this property. After a hectic day, i came back late night, spent some quality time at beach and came back to hotel which is very convient.
Everything was great but the signal for Airtel is bad, and then the Wifi (unsecured) doesn't work half the time - big issue!
