Our stay at East India House was fantastic. The stunning exterior, stylish interiors, tasty meals, and outstanding cleanliness made our visit unforgettable. The staff were kind, welcoming, and attentive during our entire stay. We highly recommend this place and can't wait to return!

The property is beautiful. However, it is spread only across a small area.Not much to do nearby.There is a dumping ground nearby which you will realise while passing by. The smell however does not travel to the property.Food is enjoyable & tasty. But do not expect ingredients from abroad.Staff is very nice & courteous.There are dogs on the premises. Dogs are super cute.The advertised trek is not really a trek. It's a walk.Electricity fluctuates quite often.All in all great place for couples for 24 hours.*1 Point of inconvenience*Property owners should inform couples booking this property about large groups / families booking stay.One such group (family crowd) was quite loud even in the night and almost ruined a peaceful stay with their noise(especially after drinks).

We enjoyed a lovely one-night stay at East India House, Uttan. The hospitality was outstanding, and the staff were friendly and accommodating throughout our visit. Pros ✨️ The fixed menu concept was excellent—the food was tasty and offered good variety at every meal. My father, who has heart and diabetes conditions, was accommodated with oil-free, less spicy dishes despite the set menu, and they even provided jowar bhakris upon request. Their attentiveness really touched us. The swimming pool was among the cleanest I've encountered at a resort, complemented by a stunning view. The rooms' unique design was also a standout feature. The garbage odor from a nearby government dumping site isn't as bothersome as some reviews suggest, thanks to air fresheners placed around. You might notice a faint smell in the evenings. Cons 🚧 The main concern was spotting a scorpion inside our room after dinner. Since the room was locked with windows shut, it probably came in through a gap beneath the main door. While this is somewhat expected given the natural setting, the hotel should enhance preventive steps. Additionally, the corridor lights outside our room were out, which may have allowed such insects to go unnoticed. This needs fixing for guest safety. The property is also smaller than it looks in photos and lacks many outdoor activities. In summary, if you want good food, thoughtful hospitality, attractive rooms, and a clean pool with a view, this place is a solid choice!

This review is long overdue but necessary. From the initial booking inquiry call until our departure, our interactions with the East India House team were smooth and friendly. The information given was precise, pricing was clear, and they showed great flexibility and understanding. We reserved the entire resort for a family event. Each guest was warmly welcomed, and we all felt like royalty throughout our stay. The food and its presentation were outstanding—prompt service, tasty, high quality, and beautifully arranged. The rooms are spacious, elegantly designed, fully stocked with toiletries, and impeccably clean. The resort and its surroundings felt like living in a fairy tale. The balconies adorned with plants made me feel like Rapunzel or part of a romantic Romeo and Juliet scene. The infinity swimming pool was well-kept and perfectly situated. Having the whole resort to ourselves, we thoroughly enjoyed every moment of our celebration. Every staff member was patient and well-trained. They organized a pottery class and a sunset nature walk for us. They handled the sound system, rearranged furniture according to our event schedule, and even worked beyond their shifts to ensure our celebration went smoothly without interruptions. There was no garbage odor, and food was quickly replenished (noting this because I read many negative reviews on these points—if the breeze blows a certain way, such issues might occur). In summary, our experience at East India House was outstanding. Special thanks to Tejas and Sunil for making sure we had a fantastic time; we look forward to returning soon.

The location, rooms, service, and staff were all very good, but it didn't feel like a resort meant for relaxation; it felt more like a boarding facility. Everything was very strict, and while the food options were good, if someone eats non-veg, they obviously can eat veg too. However, here if I choose non-veg and want something from the veg menu, it's not allowed. Paying this much for leisure but having to follow a fixed timetable takes away from the relaxation.
