I want refund for horrible stay SCAM ALERT! Fraudulent "Upgrades," Blatant Lies, and Terrible Hospitality. ​I am writing this to warn every traveler planning to stay at Yashshree Lachung. Our experience from April 20th to 22nd was nothing short of a nightmare due to the management's dishonesty and pathetic service. ​1. The "Election" Scam (Fraudulent Booking Management): We reached the hotel on the evening of April 20th, only to be told a blatant lie. The management claimed that because of elections in West Bengal on April 23rd, their entire staff was leaving to vote, and therefore they couldn’t provide us with rooms. This was a complete fabrication, as the hotel was (and still is) showing available rooms on booking sites like MakeMyTrip and Goibibo. They are clearly overbooking and then pushing guests out under false pretenses. ​2. Dangerous "Upgrade" at Yashshree Dewthang: Under the guise of an "upgrade," they shifted us to their other property, Yashshree Dewthang. They promised us a "luxury cottage with a view," but the reality was terrifying. ​Safety Concerns: The cottage was located 20-25 steps away from the main hotel in a completely isolated, desolate area with a dense forest right behind it. It felt extremely unsafe and scary, especially at night. ​Isolation: Instead of a premium experience, we felt abandoned in a secluded spot far from any help or hotel activity. ​3. Pathetic Food and Service: ​Quality: The food was abysmal. Everything we ordered was tasteless and poorly prepared. For a hotel that charges premium rates, the culinary standards were bottom-tier. ​Service: The staff was extremely slow and incompetent. We would request one thing, and they would bring something entirely different. There is zero coordination or training. ​4. Value for Money: While we understand that transportation costs are higher at high altitudes, we expect basic honesty and decent service in return for the premium price. Yashshree Lachung fails on both counts. They charge like a luxury property but treat guests with zero respect. ​Final Verdict: Do not be fooled by their "upgrade" offers or their excuses. They are manipulative and dishonest. Our trip to North Sikkim was dampened by their behavior. Avoid this hotel at all costs!

The hotel room was very clean, spacious, warm and welcoming in the wintery cold. The view was refreshing. The staff were prompt, service was excellent ’’ We, a family of 3, enjoyed our stay a lot. We stayed for 2 nights. The wide breakfast spread with sandwich, poori- sabji, idli-sambar, cereals, fruits, juice and coffee/tea was delicious. Room service was also good. Will recommend ’’

Great stay experience at **Yashshree Lachung** ’’’’ **Location:** Perfectly nestled in the lap of the mountains and walkable to nearby monasteries.’’’ **Rooms:** Spacious rooms with heaters, bed heaters and beautiful mountain views. Bathroom was spacious with good hot water facilities both in shower and washbasin taps.’’ **Service:** Quick, smooth check-in and a very helpful reception team ’ Passang Futi, Passang Wongu, and Ananya.Special mention to Manager Mauricia, who was extremely helpful during our stay.Special thanks to Rinchen from the central reservation team for all the assistance.’’’ **Food:** We took breakfast+dinner. Good variety over 3 days ’ tasty and satisfying. Very helpful restaurant staff: Amisha, Bhumika, Abhijeet, Pravesh, Jyothika, and Muskan.Overall, we had a truly lovely and comfortable stay ’’ Highly recommended!

Yashshree lachung has some good stuff and some disappointing points too!Firstly, the good:1) One of the best North Indian food in all of Sikkim (not kidding). Didn’t expect but the chef does cook some great meals. From egg curry to chicken dishes - all were great. The butter naan is a must try!2) The arrangements made for all guests who were leaving early morning around 5am was commendable. Small breakfast boxes with fruits/ sandwiches was a nice gesture.3) The hotel overall is super clean and it is definitely one of the better options in lachung.Now for the negatives:1) The property is overpriced! At over 10k a night in December - when all others options are priced much lower - it isn’t worth the amount spent.2) The room service is terrible - like 0/10. We had to call thrice for every order - and they come back with a standard answer which says - not punched as there are too many orders - is a joke.3) Though you wouldn’t visit this location for great Wi-Fi speed - but it was marketed as if they have one of the best connectivity going around. We experienced speeds less than 1 mbps (yes!)4) The central sales team of yashshree charged extra for some gala dinner for Christmas. Later, it was cancelled and the hotel charged the guests for some barbecue dishes. Such a shame after charging 10k a night for a regular hotel!
