India Under Lockdown: Air India Stops Bookings For Flights Till April 30th

Air India has ceased bookings for all domestic and international flights until April 30, 2020.  The national carrier awaits a decision from the government on the lockdown that ends on April 14. 

However, IndiGo, SpiceJet and GoAir have confirmed that they are taking bookings for domestic flights starting April 15.


SpiceJet and GoAir will be selling tickets for international flights from May 1. While, for Indigo, international flight bookings remain suspended for now.

Vistara airlines will also continue to take flight bookings from April 15. However, they will take action in case there is any update from the civil aviation ministry.

To contain the spread of Coronavirus, India has suspended all commercial flights on domestic and international routes till April 14 as a part of the nationwide lockdown that began on March 25.
