India Under Lockdown: COVID-19 cases near 28,000, 884 deaths reported

The COVID-19 case count in India is near the 28,000-mark, with around 884 deaths reported across the country.

Note: In the past 24 hours, close to 2,000 new cases of coronavirus were reported in India.


Also, Delhi saw a sharp hike as 293 fresh coronavirus cases have been added in the last 24 hours. Among all the states, Maharashtra registered the highest number of deaths yesterday.


Kerala, which reported the first coronavirus patient in the country, has shown the best recovery rate.
