Indian Railways Announces Change in Train Schedules

The Indian Railways has decided to change the frequency of certain trains and has also rescheduled a train due to varying reasons.

IMPORTANT

> The Southern Railway has announced a change in the schedule of train no. 12269 Dr MGR Chennai Central – Hazrat Nizamuddin Duronto Express.

This train was scheduled to depart at 6:35 am today i.e. 24th January but will now depart at 8:00 pm. It is running 13 hours late.

> Due to a decrease in the number of passengers amid the rising COVID cases, the Lucknow – New Delhi Tejas Express will now operate only three days a week.

The train will now run only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 25th January to 15th February.

> Keeping in mind the convenience of the passengers, the Eastern Railway has decided to increase the frequency of the Howrah – Barmer – Howrah Weekly Express.

The new train schedule is as follows –

Train no. 12323 Howrah – Barmer Express will operate two days a week i.e. every Friday and Tuesday, with effect from 25th January. 

Train no. 12324 Barmer – Howrah Express will operate two days a week i.e. Wednesday and Saturday, with effect from 29th January.
