Indian Railways to Run 10 More Summer Special Trains!

Indian Railways has announced the operation of 10 additional pairs of summer-special trains under the East Central Railway (ECR) zone to manage the surge in passenger traffic during the summer season.

These special trains are being introduced to ease congestion and offer passengers a smoother and more convenient travel experience across key long-distance routes.

The summer specials will run on routes such as Darbhanga–Delhi, Anand Vihar–Muzaffarpur, Anand Vihar–Jogbani, New Delhi–Saharsa, Yognagri Rishikesh–Muzaffarpur, Barauni–Udhna, Chandigarh–Patna, and Bhagat Ki Kothi (Rajasthan)–Danapur.

The operational dates for these trains are as follows:

  • Train No. 04098, Anand Vihar–Sitamarhi summer special, and Train No. 04012, Delhi–Darbhanga summer special, will run from April 22 to July 11.
  • Train No. 04096, Anand Vihar–Jaynagar summer special, and Train No. 04066, New Delhi–Saharsa, are scheduled to run between April 21 and July 10.
  • Train No. 04302, Yognagri Rishikesh–Muzaffarpur summer special, will be available from April 22 to July 15, and Train No. 09033, Udhna–Barauni, will continue until July 29.
  • Train No. 04504, Chandigarh–Patna, will run between April 24 and May 29, while Train No. 04813, Bhagat Ki Kothi–Danapur, is scheduled from April 23 to June 26.
  • Train No. 04018, Anand Vihar–Muzaffarpur summer special, will operate from April 22 to May 17, while Train No. 04094, Anand Vihar–Jogbani, will be active from April 24 to July 10.

These additional services have been introduced after a careful analysis of travel demand and booking trends. By expanding connectivity on high-demand routes, Indian Railways aims to ensure a more comfortable and timely journey for passengers during the summer rush.
