Railway Bulletin: Neral–Matheran Toy Train Restarts, Secunderabad Station Will Get a New Look

> Resumption of Neral–Matheran toy train


Indian Railways’ Neral–Matheran toy train has resumed its services after an infrastructure upgrade in the section. The Union Railway Minister of India, Ashwini Vaishnaw, shared the news on Twitter along with a photo of the toy train. According to the tweet, the train will have a vistadome coach and Gabion protection.

> Railways launches a month-long mega safety drive

To improve safety and remove gaps in the maintenance of locomotives and other assets, the Ministry of Railways has directed its zones to launch a month-long safety drive. This includes patrolling tracks, surprise checks at stations, and ensuring that all safety measures are being practised across the zone.

> Redevelopment of Secunderabad Railway Station

The South Central Railway has finalised the upgradation plan of Secunderabad Railway Station with world-class facilities at an approximate cost of Rs. 699 crores. The primary objective of the project is to redevelop the core city area with multi-modal integration. The venture will also enable seamless transfer of passengers from one mode to another, better connectivity, convenient pickup, and drop-off areas, and ample parking space.
