Lockdown 4.0: Top developments of coronavirus in India

The coronavirus case count in India has crossed the 1,00,000-mark, with around 3,160 deaths reported across the country.

Delhi: Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal today announced detailed guidelines for the National Capital. Metro services, shopping malls, school/college/coaching/entertainment park/bar/assembly halls, religious gathering of all kinds, hotels, restaurants, barber/spa/salon will be prohibited. Also, stepping out of homes between 7 PM to 7 AM (except for essential services) will still remain prohibited.


What is allowed? Restaurants for home delivery, auto with 1 passenger, maxi cab with 5 passengers, taxi and cabs with 2 passengers, sports complex allowed- without spectators, all private and government offices will operate with all their staff, stand-alone shops in markets and residential complex will be open, all industries will be allowed, marriage is allowed with not more than 50 guests, buses will be allowed but with not more than 20 passengers, auto-rickshaws, e-rickshaws and cycle-rickshaws will be allowed but only with 1 passenger, two-wheelers, but with no pillion rider , odd and even scheme for shops in the market.


Karnataka: The BS Yediyurappa-led Karnataka government has banned the entry of people from 4 worst-hit coronavirus states – Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Gujarat and Kerala till 31st May. Also, there will be a complete lockdown across state on Sundays and only essential services will be allowed.

West Bengal: “There will be no official night curfew in West Bengal, but people are requested not to venture out after 7 PM. Hawkers will be allowed to reopen shops in non-containment zones in Bengal from 27th May” said Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
