Mumbai Airport Terminal 2 Makes Domestic Transit Easier

The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA) has made it easier for passengers and airline crew to transit between domestic flights. A dedicated corridor has been opened within Terminal 2 of the airport that connects domestic arrivals to departures.

Earlier, the passengers had to exit and re-enter the terminal to board their connecting flights. This facility will not only reduce the transit time but will also allow travellers with a domestic layover to avoid congestion. It has a mandatory security screening infrastructure in place, along with pre-departure security checks, conducted by the CISF.

With this, the CSMIA has become the first airport in India to create a dedicated space for easier transition between flights. The facility is now operational.
