Delhi’s Anand Vihar terminal railway station is the main entry and exit point for passengers travelling to Delhi-NCR region. Indian Railways has taken a commendable step to make it cleaner and more beautiful!
Anand Vihar railway station already has an underpass, ramps, and lifts within the station premises. To provide more comfort to passengers, 300 steel benches have been installed by the Indian Railways. Aiming to keep the platform and surroundings clean, around 100 pairs of two bin systems have also been installed.
For the beautification of the railway station, a tree plantation programme has been undertaken. This will also help in curbing the problem of pollution. The walls at the station have been painted with stunning local art and images.
A new parking area is being developed for two-wheelers and four-wheelers. It will have an area of 3000 square meters and the capacity to handle 150 vehicles.
