The Railways is all set to operationalize 60 sleeping pods at the Prayagraj Railway Junction soon in anticipation of a large influx of pilgrims for the Magh Mela celebrations.

As per the officials in the know-how, these pods, apart from being compact and cost-effective, will offer a comfortable experience to the pilgrims.

Each pod, with dimensions of eight feet in length and six feet in width, can be reserved for a 12-hour duration using a flexible pricing system, with rates ranging from INR 500 to INR 1,500. The hotel is situated in the former booking office on the Civil Lines side of Prayagraj Junction, near the now-disassembled footover bridge, and will also include its cafeteria, as mentioned by officials.

As per the reports, the sleeping pods will resemble capsule-sized rooms and will come equipped with all modern amenities such as phone charging, Wi-Fi, locker rooms, and bathrooms.
