Railway Updates: A New Train from Hirdaramnagar station to Prayagraj; CCTV cameras in Shatabdi Trains

Railways has always been at the forefront of maintenance and improvement of infrastructure. Even during the lockdown, the national transporter has completed several pending projects.

Here are some of the new exciting developments by the Railways: 

CCTV cameras will be installed in Habibganj-Delhi Shatabdi train to improve the safety of passengers. Additionally, the trains will also undergo renovation, and all the broken windows will be repaired.

Good news for passengers! In a few days, there will be a new direct train from Sant Hirdaramnagar station of Bhopal division to Prayagraj and Chitrakoot. The train will run 4 days a week.

In another exciting news, the Phoolbagan Metro Station in Kolkata now has modern and state-of-the-art interiors. Railways continued to work during the lockdown to ready the first underground station on the East-West Metro corridor for passenger operations.

All these developments will benefit the passengers by improving safety as well as the travel experience. Previously, Railways has also worked on a new post COVID coach that is designed to fight coronavirus, and continued with routine projects such as maintenance of railway tracks, repairing of old bridges among others.
