Latest Update: Indian Railways Cancels & Diverts Several Trains

The North Western Railway has announced the cancellation and diversion of several popular trains due to non-interlocking work.

The Railways has advised passengers to make a note of the affected trains so as to avoid any inconvenience while travelling.

If your train is affected, don’t worry! You can find alternate trains on your preferred route with ixigo:

The list of cancelled trains is as follows:


1) Train no. 15909 Dibrugarh – Lalgarh has been cancelled on 25th December.

2) Train no. 15910 Lalgarh – Dibrugarh has been cancelled on 24th December.

3) Train no. 20971 Udaipur City – Shalimar has been cancelled on 25th December.

4) Train no. 20972 Shalimar – Udaipur City has been cancelled on 26th December.

5) Train no. 20471 Bikaner – Puri has been cancelled on 26th December.

6) Train no. 20472 Puri – Bikaner has been cancelled on 29th December.


Also, train no. 14645 Jaisalmer – Jammu Tawi has been cancelled on 23rd December due to farmers’ agitation.

Due to unavoidable reasons, the North Eastern Railway has cancelled the following trains:

> Train no. 15211 Darbhanga – Amritsar Express has been cancelled on 23rd December.

> Train no. 15212 Amritsar – Darbhanga Express has been cancelled on 25th December.

In view of the non-interlocking work o­n the Merta Road Junction – Degana Junction section of Jodhpur division, the following trains will be partially cancelled by the Eastern Railway:

> Train no. 12307 Howrah – Jodhpur Express has been partially cancelled between Jaipur and Jodhpur from 21st to 28th December. 

> Train no. 12308 Jodhpur – Howrah Express has been partially cancelled between Jodhpur and Jaipur between 23rd and 30th December.
