Several trains cancelled due to these reasons

Due to unavoidable circumstances, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has announced the cancellation of several popular trains.

The Indian Railways has advised passengers to make a note of the affected trains so as to avoid any problems while travelling.

1) Due to non-interlocking work for commissioning of patch doubling o­n Merta Road Junction Degana Junction section of Jodhpur division, the following trains will be regulated as under:

Partial cancellation:

a) Train no. 12307 Howrah – Jodhpur Express has been partially cancelled between Jaipur and Jodhpur from 21st December to 28th December. 

b) Train no. 12308 Jodhpur – Howrah Express has been partially cancelled between Jodhpur and Jaipur from 23rd December to 30th December.

2) In view of non-interlocking work at Jharsuguda Passenger Yard and Jharsuguda Goods Yard in connection with bi-directional third linework and signalling work in Chakradharpur Division, the following trains will be regulated as below:

a) Train no. 18107 Rourkela – Jagdalpur Intercity Express, has been cancelled until 5th December.

b) Train no. 18108 Jagdalpur – Rourkela Intercity Express will remain cancelled till 5th December.

c)·Train no. 18105 Rourkela – Puri Express will remain cancelled till 5th December.

d) Train no. 18106 Puri – Rourkela Express, will remain cancelled until 5th December.

e) Train no. 08167 Rourkela – Jharsuguda Passenger Special will remain cancelled till 5th December.

f) Train no. 08168 Jharsuguda – Rourkela Passenger Special will remain cancelled till 5th December.

3)  Due to developmental works in Bilaspur Division of South East Central Railway, several trains have been regulated:

Some of the cancelled trains are:

a) Train no. 12870 Howrah – Mumbai CSMT Express will remain cancelled o­n 10th December.

b) Train no. 12869 Mumbai CSMT – Howrah Express will remain cancelled o­n 12th December.

c) Train no. 12767 Hazur Sahib Nanded – Santragachi Express will remain cancelled o­n 6th December.


d) Train no. 12768 Santragachi – Hazur Sahbi Nanded Express will remain cancelled o­n 8th December.

e) Train no. 20821 Pune – Santragachi Express will remain cancelled o­n 6th December.

4) In order to enhance safety standards, the Eastern Railway has extended the cancellation of the Kolkata – Haldibari – Kolkata Intercity Express up to 26th December.
