By Air: Maharana Pratap Airport is located at a distance of 22 km from the city of Udaipur. Many domestic airlines connect Udaipur to all the major cities of India including Jaipur, Mumbai, and Delhi

1. City Palace

City Palace in Udaipur is one of the most stunning palace complexes of Rajasthan located on the banks of Lake Pichola. The construction of this magnum opus was started by Maharana Udai Singh II and was carried on by his successors.

2. Lake Pichola  


The highlight of Udaipur, Lake Pichola is undoubtedly one of the most picturesque lakes in Rajasthan. Located in the heart of the city, Pichola Lake is the oldest and one of the largest lakes in Udaipur. This lake is enveloped by lofty palaces, kothis, bathing ghats, temples, and hills on all sides, making it look like a dream.

3. Sajjangarh Fort

Named after Maharana Sajjan Singh, this palatial hilltop residence overlooking the Fateh Sagar Lake is also known as the Monsoon Palace. Offering a panoramic view of the lakes, palaces, and pristine countryside, it is a symbol of the Mewar Kingdom. If you are a history enthusiast then marvelling at this architectural wonder will make your day.

4. Jagdish Temple


Built by Maharaja Jagat Singh in 1651, Jagdish Temple is an ideal example of Indo-Aryan architecture. Carved with intricate statues of deities and mythological characters, the Jagdish Temple boasts a unique Vastushastra style. The temple is situated in the city, not far from Tripoli Gate of the Palace and there is no entry fee for visitors.

5. Bagore ki Haveli


A gracious 18th-century mansion, Bagore ki Haveli is set right on the waterfront of Lake Pichola and stands exuding an unparalleled old-world charm. Don’t miss the spectacular dance show named ‘Dharohar’ that takes place here every evening. We advise our readers not to use their personal vehicles to reach this place as it’s located in the by-lanes of the crowded old city.

Gangaur Ghat, Lake Fateh Sagar, Jagmandir, Saheliyon–ki–Bari, Moti Magri, Ahar Museum, Hathi Pol Bazar, and the Vintage Car Museum are some of the other places that must be visited.
