Various divisions of the Indian Railways shared updates about new trains, extension of services, revisions in timings, and restorations.

Update 1: New Trains 

The North Eastern Railway notified about two special trains between Mumbai and Gorakhpur. 

  • Train no. 05059 Gorakhpur–Lokmanya Tilak Terminus will run on 17th March. 
  • Train no. 05060 Lokmanya Tilak Terminus–Gorakhpur will run on 19th March.

Update 2: Revision in Timings

The Western Railway released a list of 12 services for which the timings have been revised. These trains connect important cities, such as Mumbai, Bikaner, Bharuch and Varanasi.

Update 3: Change in Train Numbers

The Western Railway also tweeted about changes in two trains’ numbers. 


Train nos. 19329/19330 Indore–Asarwa–Indore Express will run with these new numbers: 19315/19316. This change will come into effect from 1st July. Travellers can, however, start booking their tickets for the updated train numbers. 

Update 4: Train Extensions

The South Central Railway has decided to extend the periodicity of two services as follows: 

  • Train no. 07067 Machilipatnam–Kurnool City Special will continue to be in operation until 30th March. It runs on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays. 
  • Train no. 07068 Kurnool City–Machilipatnam Special will continue to be in operation until 31st March. It runs on Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. 

Update 5: Restoration of Services

The South Western Railway shared details of 19 trains that will be restored in the coming days. These trains had earlier been diverted and regulated.
